I decided to sell this airsoft gun on ebay for $60, I paid $100 and it was in pretty good condition. So this guy bought it and said he couldn't pay me right away but we worked out a deal that I would send it and would get the money that next friday since I didn't feel like waiting for another buyer. That day comes and I dont get a response for a while, the buyer responds and it turns out this guy is a 12 year old kid and he cant get the money from his parents yet. I decided to go easy on him and finally he sent it (or so he told me). Then a week after theres no package and I confront the kid. He said he forgot and is sending it now. A week later nothing comes and before I get a chance to open a dispute and the 45 days is apparently up. I cant even contact the kid because I just get an error no matter what device Im on. Im pretty sure Ive been scammed and ebay is useless what do I do?

You really didn't get scammed on eBay because you did everything eBay suggests never to do. Your problem was self inflicted because you sent the item before payment was sent to you. You can contact eBay for help, but don't expect them to be sympathetic to your way of doing business.

I got screwed over by a guy on ebay for a phone too. Tried to activate it and then the company told me it was a stolen phone I had to get it to the store. So I did and I contacted the guy he was rude and told me if I return it I can get my money back but I didn't have the phone. So tried to do it through paypal but they basically sided with him. Needless to say I was short money plus had to get a phone still. I say you have a better chance to get your money back then I did. Just keep the receipt or email notification of the purchase and contact paypal. Good luck!

You don't ever send the product first when it comes to ebay

Payment first then shipment

You have to prove you sent it and he didn't pay for it

Not an easy task

You can't do anything. You are the one who breached Ebay's terms. You are not supposed to send anything until it appears as Paid in your EBay history

It's not ebay's problem - you sent product to someone without payment.

Have to put this lose down as a learning experience, call eBay customer support and see what they say. - 1 (866) 540-3229

Nothing u or ebay can do about it. If he payed by PayPal you could take it up with them but the rule is cleared payment then they get the item.

You are not supposed to send the item until you receive payment. Breaking this rule made you vulnerable to the scam.
