did i get charged for amazon prime?

so i just set up my amazon student acc and then i went to amazon instant video app just to see if it works when i signed in said i had to upgrade and that amazon students get half off a membership so i hit upgrade assuming it was gonna tell me how much it was first but nope upgraded right there so did i get charged or am i on a free trial because amazon failed to inform me what i just did exactaly also if it a free trial can i cancel now and not get charged later but still use the service

You can cancel it online or call Amazon and have them cancel it. They will also refund if charged.

I believe what you signed up for was a free trail on Amazon Student. Your get Free 2 Day shipping on most items. for 6 months. Then you have to pay for the subscrition to amazon prime but you get 50% off which is still a good deal.

Log into your Amazon account and cancel it if you don't want it, otherwise after the trial you will be charged automatically.
