I don't play games a lot but when I do, I have often downloaded them of the internet free using torrentsites mostly like Mininova (but not The Pirate bay)... Are the chances of getting caught big? Cuz I've downloaded games from torrents lately - GTA San Andreas, Left 4 Dead, and Fifa 09... maybe my IP Adress already even is on a list, but what are the chances that they will choose MINE along with sooo many others? Then again, why take the chance...? Btw, are the chances bigger or smaller if you wanna download a movie/music? Cuz I only download games... =( And these torrent-sites are safer than others I guess since they always check the uploaded torrents to be safe... but should I stop while I can? =(

As an IT tech for a large corporation, I would say there is a 50 50 chance of you getting caught. Here is the deal, every time you get on the internet your IP is associated with your account with your ISP and it is logged. So basically if you get caught up in a honey pot, they are going to dump your ISP logs and nail you on every single thing that you have ever downloaded. You should stop, you are stealing from the company and they have every right to come after you. It does not matter what site you use, you still go through your ISP servers that track EVERYWHERE you go, whether it is encrypted or not.

Pfft.... Let them try to get you.

You think you're the only one downloading?!

They haven't made a land-mark case yet - and I don't think they'll do it to you - A person only downloading video games.

The movie studios are the one's loosing it.

I go see all the 'good' movies in a theatre, the rest I download.

They can't catch me ;)
