Now that your address is on SPAM lists there is NO way to stop it. You can however through several years slow it down by NOT giving that address to ANYONE but friends. Do NOT post it ANYWHERE on the net like Profiles because SPAMMERS look for addresses posted this way and USE them!

To prevent it with any new account you may create anywhere, do NOT give your e-mail address to ANYONE you don't WANT to have it such as friends and people you do business with. Be aware that some online businesses sell address lists. Most ligitimate online businesses don't, though. And like I said above, don't post that address ANYWHERE ON the net!

Also, be aware that SPAMMERS now have programs that generate random sequences hoping to find viable addresses. NEVER EVER open email from someone you do not know or a business you don't know. Even the act of opening a SPAM can infect your computer with mal-ware and also alert the SPAMMER that they've reached a viable address by setting off an embedded one pixel alerter (called a 'web beacon') placed within the SPAM they send. Then they'll just SPAM you HARDER!!!!!

I have an email address set up out there on a site that offers a free mailbox just specifically to use for sites that require an email address that I do NOT want email from or that I know will sell my address. I go in and clean it out once in a while just to keep it active. Otherwise, anything sent to it just gets bounced back.

i think of a few indexed here are fake effect your question, are you asking why Yahoo won't be in a position to flter that out earlier they even attain us on a international foundation? there is a few good judgment to that and that i'm particular the technologies is there yet according to probability not the accuracy it would prefer. the subject with unsolicited mail is the tens of millions despatched daily and a few human beings unquestionably use those products, they stupidly click the links so then the Spammer sees that it unquestionably works. that's direct mail to tens of millions with virtually no value in contact whilst in comparison with snail mail. i think of Yahoo and different agencies are in contact that genuine emails according to probability deleted in blunders, according to probability some may well be significant corporation mail for agencies, according to probability maximum only the common rubbish buddies deliver to one yet another. The industry is saturated with e mail agencies, according to probability their only not keen to take a probability and choose for it. over the years I even have replaced e mail some situations the place agencies have rubbish filters, Yahoo has have been given greater advantageous yet nonetheless has some thank you to bypass because of the fact the unusual stable e mail has been processed as junk. meaning i won't be in a position to have confidence the gadget a hundred% to shield my messages, i nonetheless overview bulk mail earlier deleting which style of defeats the portion of having one. I do agree that deleting at source may well be a great thought, reducing it earlier it even gets to us whether it skill making use of human beings to check them say the place an e mail is despatched to 5 human beings or greater, the community could %. up in this. Now, isn't that a job for the prisons inhabitants, what approximately all those immigrants waiting to get into the rustic, or much greater controversially the unemployed?

If anyone had the answer for this they'd be an instant millionaire. There's a constant struggle between those trying to purge SPAM and those trying to send it. Since both sides use technology to best acheive their goals and both are very good at what they do, it's just a continuing battle.

There are dozens of solutions out there. You can get spam filtering software or choose an email account that does a good job filtering "accurately" - like Gmail does a good job. There's also another "opt-in" approach where anyone sending you email has to be on your approved list for their email to get through and to get on that list you either have to add them or they have to manually add themselves and get your approval. This process is a real pain for most people, but nearly 100% effective.

I use spambayes at work. maybe it will work for you. Go here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/spambayes/spambayes-1.0.4.exe?download. I haven't tried it at home, but it will divert junk mail to a folder and you can decide what is junk and what is not. I did it for free.
