Question:
If I switch from Microsoft IE to Firefox, etc.., will I lose my Favorites or my e-mails?

I want to switch from Microsoft IE to either Firefox, Chrome, Opera, or Safari, especially because of this big new Microsoft IE flaw, but I'm worried I'll lose files. If I make the switch to a new browser, will I lose my favorites folder or my e-mails? Also, can I switch back at any time in the future if I'm unhappy with whatever browser I end up choosing? I know very little about computers and before I do something, I want to make sure I'm not going to regret it. Thanks in advance. :)

Part of the Firefox Installation process allows you to take your Favorites and other settings from Internet Explorer. If you choose to go back to Internet Explorer...just stop using firefox, Although i do not recommend Internet Explorer, it will still be on your computer for use.

because IE and firefox are similar, firefox will take it setting from IE, as long as you tell your PC which is the default browser you can run 2, default is to avoid conflict. Alot of questions ask in forum about firefox not working in the last week or so, IE 7 works great for me.

So one account with IE has each and every of the bookmarks? And the numerous one with FF does not? bypass make certain your favourites folder for IE and create a folder on your laptop pronounced as favourites, Drag each and every of the links from IE to that folder, place it in a USB or "My innovations" or someplace the situation the folder might applicable be seen on the two bills. (My laptop > Shared innovations) bypass to firefox > Bookmarks > organise e book marks > Import & Backup > Import HTML > and make certain From HTML record. make certain all innovations which you saved in that folder.

No you will lose NOTHING, Firefox has an importer once you start it the first time and will import EVERYTHING (just follow its instructions).
