while trying to use a slow school network on a personal laptop, google.com (or google.com.au) started giving this error message. red screen, invalid certificate, stopping you getting into Google. gmail sill works, but Google drive doesn't either. i need to use these google ervices for school, but it is like their network is blocking me from this site or something, all other sites i tried worked, but not google. the network does go through a filter, so am wondering wether it is that. using Windows 7, tried google in chrome & IE, didn't help. any ideas?

If you are able to access other secured sites (which uses certificates, usually sites you have to log in to or requires you to enter a password), it is most probably that certain Google sites are blocked (since you were able to get to Gmail).

That would also explain why you are not able to with either Chrome or IE.

If the time and date on your laptop is incorrect, you should get that error on any website that needs logging in to. Browsers validates the website's certificate with the date on your laptop. If it's out of range, it will show you that error.

Ask your school's IT to check.

fix the time in your machine, clear cache and history in your browser , and if it still ,use a proxy
