You don't need to "switch" to IE and then back to firefox, as such, you can just open internet explorer from either the start menu, desktop icon, or by [start][run] as listed above, then go to the page and do what you need to do.
However (I think I can see where your question is coming from), when you open IE it will probably complain that it's not the default browser and ask you if you want to make it the default. You can happily press no/cancel at this point and IE will still merrily load, but will leave firefox as your default browser. If you _do_ find that IE has made itself default (or you clicked yes/ok when IE started) you can easily fix this by loading firefox manually, then selecting [tools][options], go to the "main" tab and there should be an option at the bottom to make firefox the default browser.
As a footnote, I would e-mail the site and ask/complain-about why they are forcing people to use IE to access their site. You can also point out that people who don't use windows won't be able to switch over to IE like you can, and won't be able to use their site's functions at all!

Since I hate IE, I found a way to still use pages in Firefox that only work on IE. It's a Firefox addon called IE Tab (link to download it from Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419). Once this is installed and Firefox has been restarted, you can right click on a link and select to "Open Link in IE Tab." Then you can complete everything you need to do, close the tab, and stay in Firefox the entire time.

If you have internet explorer installed, click on Start, Run and type in
iexplore
The click on OK. This will launch IE rather than Firefox...

You may have more than one browser installed on your computer. But only one will be the "default" browser.
As long as you haven't removed Internet Explorer from the taskbar and all views through Control Panel add/remove windows components, then just click on it using your desktop icon or your start, programs bar. A last resort is start, run, iexplore.exe

Your question is very vague... What do you mean change from Firefox to IE? Do you mean you dont know how to open IE? Weird.
