My dad and I were at an education meeting and the instructor wanted to email me some information. He asked for my email address and I gave it to him and he said to check in the spam folder for it. My dad was there with his computer [he has a broadband card] and somehow he got into my email from his computer right there! He notified me that the message from the instructor was in the inbox, not the spam folder. I have never logged in my email on his computer before, and he has never had access or knowledge of my password. How did he do this and how can I prevent it from happening again? Also, what other things can he be viewing?? Can he see everything I do on the internet?

it is really possible that he can view everything that is on your computer anywhere, there is a software for that. if that is what your dad is using, changing your password wont prevent him from viewing what you're doing.

you can try to format your laptop.

There are three ways to make your dad can login to your email account (in my opinion). First, he guess based on your birthday date, or your favorite numeric or boy/girlfriend name. Second, he use keylogger software/program that installed in your computer (this software installed invisible in your computer). Third, your father is a Yahoo Mail Staff, but you never imagine that before ^__^ (Just kidding).

He's smarter than you give him credit for. He most likely watched you log in & noted the password. Or your password is obvious as hell, like your name or 'password'. Or he's really slick & has a key-logger on your computer, in which case he can see everything you do.

Either he knows your security question answer or your password is too obvious or he knows your alternate emails password so he could do the i forgot my password thing.
