i'm having problems connecting to the internet on all programs that need the internet....I have a wifi network and i connect using my laptop and it tells me that i'm connected to the network, but when i click mozilla or internet explorer, nothing comes up. Also, i have a dial up connection i use w/ people pc. ,,,,, but i click the auto-detect setting in IE, but it still doesnt come up. So, basically, i'm getting conneceted to the network, but every program is saying that i'm not connected. Any ideas?

If you are pulling up your browser, and it is telling you that you have no connection then. Go into your wifi router and make sure your DNS and DHCP are set to automatically obtain an address from your network.

You're probably not connected and you need to do a repair on your wireless adapter. Just a few seconds. If Windows is managing your connection right click on the little monitor icon in the tray and click Repair. That should do it unless your wireless utility is managing the connection. You should see it in the tray. If not you will find it in Program Files. Open it and connect from there. You'll figure it out. You will probably have to put in the security key for the network if it's a locked network (I hope it is). Good luck. Every wireless adapter is a little different otherwise I could be more specific.

Any chance you have vista? If so, then you have to go to device manager and uninstall the driver.
