An i7 processor would be overkill. An i5 could healthful you completely for some years. explanation why you're getting overall performance subject concerns is via the fact Pentium processors are historical and a lot slower while in comparison with right now's standards. I heavily advice against getting i7, whether you are able to desire to make it "destiny-info". a miles better techniques-set could be to get 2 medium-selection computers in a era of five-7 years, truly than one severe end computing gadget now. technologies advances very at as quickly as as time progresses, and with extra moderen and extra modern technologies, the fee for an identical technologies decreases as time is going on. Your i7 computing gadget will depreciate at a miles better point because of its truly severe fee than an i5.

I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The best PC cleaner and antivirus program is CCleaner, it's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate.

CCleaner is also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than nomal. Download it here for free: http://bit.ly/1mQZhtQ

First of all, you need to have an add-on called Memory Fox, which is an add-on the prevents Firefox from being such a memory hog. The add-on is experiment at the moment, however, once you register to get the add-on and install it, it will be reduce the amount of memory FF hog up.

Other ways to prevent Firefox from being such a hog is the following.

First, check your add-ons. Go to Tools, then add-ons and in the "Extension" tab uninstall or disable any add-on that you don't use. This includes Java Quick Starter and Microsoft .NET Framework Assistance.

Second, while in add-ons, go to the "Plugins" tab and disable any plugins that cause your browser to slow down. In particular these tree.

-Adobe Acrobat, which bring up PDF files from websites onto your browser. Turning it off will prevent this and your PDF files will open externally.

-get Plus Plus for Adobe. This is not needed.

- Java Platform.

-MetaStream

-Microsoft DRM

-QuickTime Plugin, which allows you to view QT video on websites

-Shockwave for Director

-Window Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library

and finally, Window Presentation Foundation.

All of the above is not needed.

Third, you can tweak Firefox to run faster on your computer. The link below is video on who to do it.

Don't forget to restart Firefox in order for the changes to take affect.

If you don't want to have any download file in the status bar in the future, go to Tools, then Option. Click on the "Privacy" icon and unchecked the box that says "Remember Download History."

Finally, always, always clean out your recent history, that way Firefox can work faster. Try doing every two weeks or every month, its up to you. If you don't how to clean out your browsing history, the video link below will show you how.

I don't have all the answers but I had a number of thoughts here.

First, either the CPU or CPU fans could be damaged,

2nd it might be time for an upgrade to a new CPU if you don't already have a dual core and beefy graphics card with its own video memory.

Third, something is definitely wrong since the computer should not get that hot with basic use. You should not run the computer if it gets that hot because it will damage other components, so at least use a laptop cooling fan lap base.

Fourth, check the program manager and see how many processes you are running at once. Many of them activate at startup and you may not use them anymore.

Fifth, the programs you are referring to are adblock and flashblock for firefox. Adblock is great at preventing banner ads from loading, saving resources and stopping annoyances. Flash block blocks flash banners but the computer still downloads them. A video won't play automatically unitl you click on it. Some video banner ads and websites with video intros start automatically when you open them in tabs which is annoying. These programs worked great for me on my old computer that had a pentium single core and only half a GB of RAM. I like to open multiple videos in many tabs. Without flash block this action would slow my computer to a crawl since they would all play at once. With flashblock I can watch one and let a few others load and be ready when I finish the first. In any case It sounds like you have a hardware problem more than a software problem. I would have it checked by a professional.

You need to stop using so much profanity.

The videos will max your CPU if the speed of the chip isn't great. You've failed to mention WHICH CPU you are using. So upgrading to a faster chip would help.

As far as the fan goes, if your fan's power cable is plugged onto the motherboard, the 3rd pin is for controlling the fans speed. There are power settings to alter is the fan stays constant or is variable dependent on Temperature.

lastly, you can select for videos to launch in Windows Media Player if they are .divx. This is done within your browser after the WMP is first installed.
