in Internet explorer click Tols menu and click Internet options. Under History tab click clear history and click yes on pop up to confirm. Also for safe keep under Temporary internet files click Delete Cookies and click Delete Files, make sure your click delete all offline contect checkbox before you click ok. This will not only get rid of the history also get rid of any residual data saved on computer from past web sites visited

Double click on the search bar...hover your mouse over the site or previous search that you have made...then press the delete key on your keyboard...the previous search should be erased.

set your preferences to erase history after a short time- like zero days. But you couldn't use your back button.
