Hello,
I am planning to open an online shop for my products very soon,
but I have problems in deciding in how to present them,
should I open a page in a blog site or should I start from the very beginning by making a website?

Problem is I can't afford to pay a domain name for now and I am also not an expert in computer, so is there any website that allows me to open one for free?

If I should open a page in a blog, which website do you suggest?

Thank you so much in advance. Any advice is greatly appreciated.. :)

Hello Mrs. Kim-

I would stay away from the blog format because you will have trouble setting up a shopping cart if you wish to actually sell your product via the blog. With a website, the interface will be more presentable and professional, and since this is what the customer sees, you will likely have better luck with this format.

There are several web hosting sites out there. Microsoft has a good free one called Office Live Small Business. The homepage for it has a link to a gallery of websites people have made with the service that you should take a look at. Take a look!

Cheers,

Free websites place ads and sometimes take site away or go under.

You could spend alot of time building site and they go under and your left with nothing. The hardest part of making any site or blog is getting traffic to it. If you make site on a free host they are not to search engine optimized and do not do well in listings.

Your better off buying a hosting packge most cost under 70 a year with domain name.

People will trust you more if you have your own website address.

You can get a free site, but they will place ads on your site and you will have a domain name no one can remember.

Your own website with an integrated payment gateway and a shopping cart is the best solution if you want your customers to trust you.
