My IE 7 browser is not working right because every time I try to close the browser it displays an error saying "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close...." There are two buttons - Send Error Report and Don't Send. The problem is if I have opened five windows of IE, it closes all of them and not the one that I tried to close initially.

I tried to reinstall the IE and still didn't work out. HELP!

I need your advice - what should I do?

According to your description, there may have some regsitry errors in your PC to cause "windows error:IE has encountered a problem and needs to close".You need to clean you PC.

Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer you create junk in the registry. You need to scan and clean your PC with registry cleaner.

There are some comparison and review of registry cleaners.

You can download and scan your PC for free.

Have you pressed send the error report everytime? You should. Ok also don't open so many at once, your computer can't handle it, you might need some more space on your computer, delete and uninstall all the stuff you don't want and see what happens. Was there a problem with the installation when you reinstalled the operating system?

I have the same problem.

This is what you do.

Go to Task Manager (ctrl-alt-del) and click on tasks. Look for iexplore.exe

click end task when you highlight that.

that will close only the window that is bugged.

It's a problem with IE 7 right now.

You may also want to try and scan for spy or adware with a program like adaware, it can be found at www.lavasoft.com

Adware SE Personal is free and works the best.

three steps once again

1. Scan with HiJackThis. Delecte the unnecessary and hidden processes and spywares.

2. Download the updated anti-spyware (Lavasofts ad-aware I suggest)

3. Download the antivirus up dated (Norton I suggest)

and scan ur system in the safe mode (press f5 repeatedly till it gives u an option to enter into the safe mode. Enter into the admin mode)

U ca download all these software for free from here

you might have too many windows open and be overloading the servers. If you try to send an email message that is too big it happens as well

I want to say virus. Run multiple virus scans. You may need to wipe and reload your computer.

You may have a virus. Try to run a complete virus scan, then try again. Also, run a "disk-check".
