Icann gets some money whenever you buy a domain name.



Their are 13 top root dns servers, if any one of those servers says a domain is already taken then you cannot buy a domain with the same name.

Therefore, domains cannot be owned or control just by 1

Who gets the money? of course the owners of that space



Why cant you have same domain names?
