Internet explorer is not running in task managers processes or applications.
This what the error looks like just that I have different info for line, char, and error etc:
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-2918782-31840/IE%2BScript%2BError.png&imgrefurl=http://forums.adobe.com/message/2919224&usg=__zpRAJ6vBct4XqJKj9ud3jv_i6FI=&h=293&w=457&sz=15&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=o5zjL1pTmC6DzM:&tbnh=119&tbnw=185&prev=/images%3Fq%3DInternet%2Bexplorer%2Bscript%2Berror%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3DrSK%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26biw%3D1440%26bih%3D712%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C155&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=3855&ei=zv23TJOCMYvCsAOLjc3wDg&oei=zv23TJOCMYvCsAOLjc3wDg&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=29&ved=1t:429,r:24,s:0&tx=66&ty=74&biw=1440&bih=712

This is the info i get in my script error:
Line: 25
Char: 13
Error: 'ScoreToColor' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: about:blank

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes NO

I didn't think it was possible to get an Internet explorer script error if internet explorer is not running at all. I normally only use firefox. If I do close the error(end process or application in task manager I mean) it closes mozilla firefox as well.If I close it by just closing the window it does not close firefox but I feel this may indicate malware. I did a full scan with my updated antivirus and spyware remover and It doesn't detect anything. Is it malware that my antivirus isn't detecting or what could be the issue?Should this error even appear if internet explorer hasn't been used or isn't used in a long time?
I am thinking of reinstalling mozilla which I will try later on. Any suggestions are appreciated.I have windows vista 32 bit.

Yes it is easily possible to get these, because IE is, as Microsoft says, "integrated" into the operating system. In other words, if you don't have malware, this error may be coming from some program other then IE. That is why when you "uninstall" IE from "Add/Remove Windows Components", it really does nothing more then delete the shortcuts. It could also have something to do with a registry error, or QuickTime (however the last one is doubtful if ending iexplore.exe also ends Firefox - the number one indications that Malware is the most likely answer)). Reinstalling firefox will not help, since Firefox has nothing to do with the problem.

I do believe it is Malware, but I am only slightly more of an expert then you seem to be (though, I can't determine that with great accuracy from this post). It may be one of those Adwares that usually cases IE to produce random pop-up windows (while it is running or not), but the programming for the site that's popping up is causing this error. Have you tried running Ad-Aware as well as the virus programs? (Or, another software... if you know of any other adware remover please let me know, because I don't like modern version of Ad-Aware at all... plus it's a huge resource hog.)

If you cannot find it and do not wish to reset your computer, you can try using a combination of REVO Uninstaller, the task kill programs at Spybot's site, and whatever other task kill programs you can find... REVO uninstaller does include this as well by right-clicking in the startup manager area, but it's not a great one. Spybot's taskkill worked for me last time I had a problem, and I didn't need any other "special" software beyond it.

You can also try manually searching relevant areas of the registry for anything that is clearly unwanted and/or uninstalled. Also see if the problem still occures on the Administrator account.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.pchealthcleaner.net

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

Yes thats possible , some applications use internet explorer to load some applets , for example , when you open msn messenger or yahoo messenger , once you sign in you will get a pop up full of links , this pop up actually loads through internet explorer , so yes other applications can cause this error and yes please install mozilla :)

Do you have cyber web Explorer protection settings adjusted to the default point? The default point is "Medium" for cyber web Explorer 6 and "Medium-extreme" while you're employing IE-7 or 8. In cyber web Explorer pass to equipment > cyber web innovations > protection > cyber web > set to the default point > ok > ok. on no account set any under the default!
