2010-06-16 12:11:14 UTC
I recently have been receiving an IE error message that says "there is a problem with the website's security certificate" and then it allows me to click "continue to this website (not recommended)" or "don't continue to this website (recommended)". I have been trying to buy a book on amazon.com, and it says that cookies are not enable on my computer, However, I have them enabled and am still recieving the error message. are these messages related? Someone please help! It's so annoying, and plus I can't do things online that I used to be able to do!! Thank you!

‘Cookies’is important to the safety of the private information in your computer. I suggest you had better to use a software which has the function of cleaning up cookies .You can use it to clean the internet cookies after using the computer for a while.

Disk defragment and registry defragment can release the disk space and enhance the speed of the computer, you can install a compressed software which can help you to deal with these problem.

The first answer is available, but it’s it's actually quite complicated to put it into application, especially for a beginner.

I recommend a software called “Perfect Optimizer” to you, it can solve all the problems which you refered above. ”registry mum” can clean up cookies ,auto-scan backup the Windows registry and repair the errors, and it also can help you remove unneeded programs to speed up the computer.

Hey..Its IE - what more can I say? Probably there is nothing wrong with the pages, IE 6 and 7 have a thing about actually reading valid code properly.. For some reason, a not to be named software giant, has decided not to comply with a lot of the standards of web design. You get the error icon or pop up -- mostly associated with javascript -- because Java and javascript are products created by a competitor.. Here is how to turn off the notices: Go to the internet options/advanced menu tab and scroll down until you find a check box that says "Display a notice about every script error" uncheck it and that should solve some of the issue. The rest, unfortunately, has to be lived with..

Open IE and go to TOOLS - INTERNET OPTIONS.

Then choose the ADVANCED tab.

Scroll down through that list and find CHECK FOR SERVER CERTIFICATE REVOCATION. That should be checked. Then find WARN ABOUT CERTIFICATE ADDRESS MISMATCH.

If these are both checked then that means the sites you are visiting have issues with their certificates.

Also you can click on RESTORE ADVANCED SETTINGS at the bottom and see if that helps.
