Question:
Can I get a refund if the seller won't claim my payment? Help please?

So I bought something in an auction on ebay and sent the seller my payment the same day I won the auction. In my purchase history it told me that my payment was unclaimed, I've never had this happen before and I buy ebay a lot. Anyway after three days of being told my payment was unclaimed I contacted the seller and told her that it was telling me my payment was unclaimed. The seller told me that it said my payment was processing, she hadn't received it and that she'd had the same problem with another person trying to pay her so we should wait a few more days in case the payment went through.

It's been over ten days since I won the auction, I've tried cancelling and resending my payment twice, contacted the seller and tried to be generally patient and polite. Now the seller is telling me that she has had no problems with this happening before and is accepting payments from other people fine, even though she told me otherwise in her first message. I'm verified on paypal and she isn't, I have more positive feedback than she does and I've never had this problem before. She's the only one I'm having this problem with, I've payed another 2 people through paypal with no problems.

I wanted to message her again asking her for a refund since the money has been taken from my account but she's saying nothing's happening. I'm not trying to blame her and I'd be very polite, but do you think that would be an appropriate thing to do in this situation? I don't doubt she's a legit seller but this obviously isn't working out and I'd rather spend my time and money elsewhere if there's some kind of problem with her paypal account. What do you think I should do?

Sounds to me like shes messing you around cause she probably..

Didn't want to sell you the item for the price you won it for.

You need to open both Disputes.. That will stir it up..

Ebay -> http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/

Paypal -> https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp?t=solutionTab&ft=homeTab&ps=&solutionId=163596&locale=en_GB&_dyncharset=UTF-8&countrycode=GB&cmd=_help&m=BT

She may cave in under the pressure or you may need to..

Request a refund cause seller is messing you around.

I'd also add that you suspect the seller is doing this..

Cause she didn't want to sell the item for the price it went for.

Ebay and Paypal will get to the bottom of it and refund your money.

Hope it helps :)

Contact Paypal itself and have them investigate. They should be able to tell why the payment is not going through or to get you a refund. They can resolve technical issues like this better than you can.

You can also open a claim with eBay.

Immediately raise the issue with eBay especially if the money has gone from your account.
