Hey guys, I've had this problem for a while now, I've never really been great at spelling, and normally FireFox would check all of my spellings if I would have a problem with such a word.

A while ago FireFox 2 stopped checking my spellings, afterwards I upgraded to FireFox 3 and it's still not checking them, I've tried the about:config - layout.spellcheck and that still won't work.

HELP!!!

for firefox to check your spelling you need the English dictionary add on installed but it may not be compatible with firefox 3 you can download it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=english+dictionary&cat=all

Try this (in Firefox 2):

1. Click the Tools->Options menu item.

2. Click the Advanced page.

3. Click the General tab.

4. Click the Check My Spelling As I Type checkbox.

5. Click OK.

If that doesn't work, or if the checkbox is already checked, try downloading the dictionary again by right-clicking on a word in a text box, then selecting the Languages->Add Dictionaries menu item.

Hope that helps.

Go to the Tools in the top menu bar and click the Options. The checkbox is under Browsing there. Just check it.
