does anyone know if Tiscali are putting the block on newsgroups - i use Usenext and usually get about 120Kps download speed, but the last few weeks it's gone down to between 15 and 20 kps all the time - ie as slow as a crappy analogue modem. I've written to usenext who say there's nothing wrong with their system and Tiscali say they don't cap download speeds - one of them is lying !!
i've tried different pc's aswell on my line and i get the same problem - normal downloads from websites etc are downloading at top speed
I might aswell just stop subscribing to usenext as it's next to useless
Anyone any ideas ?

If your not tied into a contract drop them and move to bulldog or sky broadband (if you have sky).

I had Tiscali as well and when they built about 30 apartments across the road from me, for about 2 months the broadband speed went down to about 160Kb/s (ie 20KB/s).

They eventually put in the extra bandwidth and ti went back to normal, but it took a while.

They contract to you a *maximum* rate, so they are free to sell your bandwidth to the neighbours, and then after the event restore when they get around to it. That's the price we pay for cheap home ADSL - businesses pay £10,000pa for a contracted bandwidth for their DSL access.

you may not use identical valves each and every is particular. engine compression is down via burnt out valves maximum probable and that i assume? probable desires a re-bore and new piston and jewelry etc to decrease oil intake. the juddering is intense misfire -no firing on cylinders being affected and might particularly shake with the aid of motor vehicle to guidance ( however there's a risk we've yet another difficulty including Cv joints going?) bets process action and probable maximum inexpensive ordinary is an substitute engine. then seem at different matters. do weigh up if motor vehicle is worth spending funds on or scrapping?
