Is there anything in Firefox equal to Ctrl-n in IE?

Would there be a shortcut or extension that I can download that has the same function as Ctrl-n in Internet Explorer? The function that opens up the page you're in with past pages in a new tab?

Mozilla Firefox Keyboard Shortcuts

This is a list of the most common keyboard shortcuts in Mozilla Firefox.

If you have enabled Emacs-style text editing shortcuts

in GNOME, they will also work in Firefox. When an Emacs text

editing shortcut conflicts with the default shortcuts (as occurs with

CtrlCmd+K), the Emacs shortcut will take preference if

focus is inside a textbox (which would include the location bar and search

bar). In such cases you should use the alternate keyboard shortcut

if one is listed below.

I'm not sure that I understand what you want it to do.

In IE7, Ctrl-E just opens the sidebar for search.

In FF, Ctrl-E will open your search page. There isn't a sidebar for searching in Firefox, as most people search directly from the address bar.

There are a number of extensions you could use that might give you a search sidebar though.

Hope this helps.
