ok here's the problem, i see a file i want to download, its a zip or rar file i click download it asks me to save it, then it brings up the download box and its missing the green bar, total file size and tells me the file type is unknown. it also downloads it to the temp folder and doesn't completely download the file (about 5 bytes). if i attempt to open the file it shows it as corrupt. this only happens from one site but its every file on the site.

any ideas?

Do you have Winrar that opens Zip files? Download the first file there. http://www.rarsoft.com/download.htm

If so, it's probably just the website you're downloading it from. I'm not sure otherwise, maybe restart your computer.

Steer clear of that site.

I would say there are two possibilities - someone is only interested in your IP address so they can try to send you a virus/spyware and/or take over your computer, or someone (official) is after your IP address so they can track you as an illegal downloader.

upload incomplete so the uploader is the whose in fault...(packed incomplete)

or maybe low connection in the server so try finding new link for download
