Question:
What is the best internet browser?
2009-12-19 20:24:55 UTC
I've used Internet Explorer (versions 6-8) and just CAN NOT stand the blandness/lack of customization/speed of it. I die every time I click that little logo.

I've used the current version of Firefox and I instantly hated the blandness. Yes, speed wise it scored high but...takes me back to Windows 98.

I've used the Developer's version of Google Chrome and to this day it's my favorite one. I like the speed, the ability to go "Incognito", and the new extensions. Though, I hate it that I can't have toolbars installed.

I need a browser that is:
-Fast
-Customizable (Color scheme is a big one!)
-Able to install toolbars
-Able to go (In Google's terms) "Incognito"
-Able to install Extensions, or Add Ons

I welcome all suggestions, and will probably try all recommendations out for myself.

I know that internet explorer can be boring and just plain. And it can be slowing at times. But i would do some checking at microsoft.com and see if they have away to speed up internet explorer and change the skin of it.

Also i would look at some new themes for firefox. They have some new cool skins for firefox and also they have add-ons,plug ins, extensions.

Then there is google chrome,safari,Opera.

i would also say that you could change the skins of them also.Well i hope this helps you.

And remember have happy and safe time surfing the internet. Also be safe.

Chrome is probably the best for what you are looking for. I don't know about the developers version, try getting Chromium or Chrome plus (same thing, different names). It's pretty good and allows for all the functionality of internet explorer as well.

my personal favorite is Mozilla Firefox cause its user friendly and you can install add-on, toolbars, and it is faster than internet explorer for sure. yea it might be bland and migght not be able to go "incognito" but it works great for everything else, not to sound cliche but you cant always get what you want

Mozilla Firefox

But, if you are a social networking person, I would get Flock, made by Mozilla and it can use all of Firefox's add-ons and extensions.

It's a matter of personal preference really. I personlly like IE8. I find the customization options well to my liking.
