Why can't I hear sound online?

When I try to play videos online I see the picture, but can't hear the sound.

If you can hear sound when not online then it sounds like you are sharing the same IRQ between the sound card and nic card

Speakers plugged into the right port on the back of your PC?

Speakers turned on?

System sound not on 'mute'?

Can you hear sound from your speakers when listening to CDs or any other audio source?



Could be a lot of things like this.
