Recently I went visited a website that redirected my MS Internet Explorer settings and home page. Tonight I noticed that when I ran a search on Yahoo (example Sirius Radio), I was redirected to other sites that where not Sirius. A "redirect" message came up in the address bar, then redirected me sites that were related, but not where I wanted to go. Somewhere, there is a script or code that is overwriting and redirecting my Internet Explorer defaults. The "tools" in Explorer are not able to save my instructed changes. Where do I find the script and remove it?

you have what they call a web browser hijacker. you'll need to run a scan to delete any spyware, adware, malware off your computer.. if you use yahoo tool bar with anti spy then it should find it.. if not use another program there's plenty at http://downloads.com

spybot is free. even webroot spysweeper is free for 15 day's and will delete them in trial version..

also what may have happened is you installed something that had a third party plugin called a bundle that you gave permission to redirect you to a advertized site.. most likely not your case but the guy who responded before me sound's like what he did.

zedo will put pop up's other third parties redirect. depending on the thrid party agreement.

when downloading off a site read the third party agreement before installing their plugin.. most site's don't cary them but some do.. it'll say must install plugin before continuing then you'll get some crap..

scan your hard drive for viruses because a lot times viruses will redirect you to another site
