I'm saying Mx Nitro = speed upstart and surfing, a true Lightweight. Small and fast, is better than big and slow...

Chrome is a System hog now, it used to be lean and fast. Firefox is moving in the same direction, sadly.

Only 2 have said Maxthon here in this tread, thats a OK Browser and faster than Chrome and Firefox...

It can do more, right out of the box...

But nobody have said Mx Nitro, this is very fast in cold start and in surfing too. It's shaved down in all kinds of Ad-Ons etc. it only have the bare minimum to funtion well = speed is way up.

But all your Chrome, Firefox and Safari users / lovers, should drop using AdBlok Plus and use uBlock instead, it's way faster and use less power on the CPU and the Browser, have the same block list as ABP.

Try Google search this > uBlock vs. AdBlock Plus

Best Regards Ohke

The first step is always the hardest, not knowing something has never stopped you before.!!

It's true that you don't know what you have until it's gone,

but it's also true that you don't know what you're missing until it arrives.

We all learn in our own pace and you can't get a flower, to grow faster, by pulling on it.

So a GOOD DAY is where you learn something new. (^^,)

Google Chrome is a freeware web browser[11] developed by Google. It used the WebKit layout engine until version 27 and, with the exception of its iOS releases, from version 28 and beyond uses the WebKit fork Blink.[12][13][14] It was first released as a beta version for Microsoft Windows on September 2, 2008, and as a stable public release on December 11, 2008.

Google releases the majority of Chrome's source code as an open-source project Chromium.[16][17] A notable component that is not open source is the built-in Adobe Flash Player.

Honestly, I love Google Chrome, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's the fastest. I think Chrome is the most secure and reliable browser and because of this, it's actually a bit slower than, say, Internet Explorer. I think Internet Explorer is the fastest, but definitely not secure at all IMO. Have you ever opened a Chrome window, opened Task Manager, and looked at the usage on your hardware from Chrome alone?

Anyways:

Chrome = Most secure

IE = Fastest, but not secure

It depends on what you do. Google Chome tends to be the first choice for multiple people, I have been using Mozilla Firefox now for some time because of how it runs with external web apps. Chrome has stopped using Java SE and other Java support so a lot of the things I do cannot be done. Firefox is all around right now the best browser in my opinion, even though Chrome might have a slight edge in speed, performance goes to Firefox.

Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Explorer all these browsers are merely software (with their suggested as necessary add-ons). Their fastness or slowness is simply a moot point.

Judging by the total size of Chrome it is huge as is Explorer. Basic Firefox is about 45 MB. This being said, if your internet access speed is 56 kbps then whatever browser you have ain't gonna do anything for you. So get really fast internet and then the need to bother about browser's speed disappears.

Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are the best web browsers but

Chrome eats quite a bit of RAM if you like to have a lot of tabs open. So you can use Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome for fastest web browsing.

OK OK GOOGLE chrome is the best but remember cant beat IE on security, google or firefox 10 Years behind from Microsoft.

Google has recently made changes to its Chrome browser which prevents some of the plug-ins required to use Banking BIB from operating. They have removed support for NAPAPI plugins or Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface.

In late April 2015, Google removed extensions requiring NPAPI plugins from their Web Store. This means that NPAPI plugins will show as not installed and unable to run. so IE 90% better than others explorer.

Chrome is fast on the Internet side due to the the background processes. However, on the CPU/Memory side of the house Chrome has 2 (possibly 3 it depends) processes open up for one tab. I have three browsers open Chrome, Firefox (Mozilla) and Opera (http://www.opera.com/).

Chrome has 2 tabs there are 11 background processes running. The CPU is 2% usage, however, the memory is 654mb usage. Plus the apps .3% CPU and 90.9mb on memory. That is insane!!!

Firefox has 2 tabs, there 8 background processes running . The CPU is 1.4% usage, memory is 154mb usage. Plus the CPU is 4.5% and memory 232mb.

Opera has 2 tabs, there are 4 background processes running. The CPU is 1.5% usage, memory 109mb usage.

Plus the CPU is 2.4% and memory is 102mb.

So yes, you will get internet fast with Chrome.. but if you have 3 possibly 4 tabs then IT WILL bog down..

So my best option. Opera.

My opinion..

I use MOZILLA Firefox, Google CHROME mostly.

But over past years it has changed because #1 usually becomes lesser for one reason or another.

But lately both above have been okay for me, albeit I am not a fast bear and do not play games any more (at least most of the time).

Yeah, sometimes Chrome warns you about security threat, even if your Antivirus Software does not.

However, I do TREMENDOUS AMOUNT of computer work, and I've often had to uninstall and then reinstall both of my favorites, at least once every six months or so.

Keep your plugins updated too, and don't have too many.

for my experience it's google chrome but i have had a few issues on youtube but they were fixed

but a browser won't change almost everything if your internet speed is slow you still have video throttling and other issues that can't be fixed no matter what browser you choose the only way to fix this is by contacting your internet service provider and asking them for higher speed and make sure you have the same speed for the plan you paid for but remember the word up to means you rarely get to that

for example if you were getting 5 mbps while the plan you paid for says up to 20 mbps you won't have it and you can't do anything about it

the only way to get out of this problem is by canceling your plan if you have a contract you can't until you are done with the contract but sometimes you can pay amount of money to cancel it this amount may drop down by time and monthly payment

choose me as best answer if i helped you

They are all equally fast.

A browser is a browser. And really, the computer decides how fast the browser is, not the browser itself. If the computer is slow, it does not matter how fast the browser is. The browser will automatically be slow, even if the browser is fast, until the computer is repaired.

The fastest Web browsers are the ones running on the fastest computers that have the fastest Internet connection speeds. For example, Firefox is much faster on my computer that has an AMD Athlon(tm) X4 860K Quad-Core 64-bit processor (running @ 4.2 GHz) than it was on my computer that had an AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 235e Dual-Core 64-bit processor (running @ 2.7 GHz).

Also, the number of plug-ins running in the Web browser affects its speed. I use a lot of plug-ins in Firefox, including, but not limited to:

Adblock Plus

Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon

BetterPrivacy

Ghostery

NoScript

WOT

These plug-ins slow its startup time and hinder page-load times due to their frequent notifications indicating things that they've blocked from loading within each page. But without these plugins, it starts and runs much faster. On my computer the PaleMoon, Konqueror, and TOR Web browsers start (and run) extremely quickly. All three are nearly instantaneous. But Firefox isn't very far behind them in performance, even with the many plug-ins I'm using.

My WiFi connection to the Internet Service in my home is 42.42 Mbps ⇩ and 11.36 ⇧. Thus, my Web browser loads pages fairly quickly, faster than if my connection speed was slower, but slower than if my connection speed was faster.

I have tried Google Chrome, but I thought it was too hard to configure. The I installed Firefox. It worked about a week then they changed their whole program and it messed my computer up. I had IE before. I'm going to uninstall Firefox for sure. I even donated to them. Thanks for your help..I may go back to Google Chrome and try again.

it depends on your computer and os, crome is good, but firefox can beat it some times, and don't add in any thing that slows it down ok.

if you have an old slow computer, get an old version of ie or firefox, they will run quicker than crome on a slow computer.

if you have a slow wi fi, then it don't matter what you use you will get slow net.

hope that helps
