I would like to surf without web sites being able to see
my IP address. Is there a way to have a random
address generated when I visit these sites so that
they do not know who I am. Also, can I do the same
with email

Yes. What you are looking for is an anonymising proxy server. Its got to be an anonymising one, not just a normal proxy server. A typical proxy server still passes your IP address along with the request in a request header, so it will still be visible. Anonymisers don't send the header. Although, there are other ways of tracking you - if you've already got a cookie set by the site you want to remain anonymous to, you'll need to clear that cookie before visiting through an anonymous server. Also, it would be safer to switch to a different browser, just in case your normal browser user-agent string happens to be unique.

One good way to doublecheck if you are really anonymous is to try an anonymous checker, like http://www.anonymitychecker.com/

yes ,you can surf the net using a fake ip address .they use different proxies to let you surf the net thru that proxy...u may download the software HIDE IP Platinum from the website http://www.Hide-IP-Soft.com

This software hides ur ip address successfully and even changes ur ip address...but this may fail sumtimes when you are using peer-2-peer softwares like limewire and bearshare....And about e-mailing it depends upon the fake proxy server that the software has given u..if it permits then u can(that too not in all of the cases!)and even some websites maynot open...therefore...keep these points in mind b4 using this
