Question:
Please help! This a scam... (eBay)? What should I do?

I was looking at a DW Drum Set for a price that seemed too good to be true (a $17000 value new for just $1300). I emailed him, and he never signed his name, it would say "sincerely" and nothing after. It's from "the_ultimate_superstore_com" - an ebay store, with 100% customer satisfaction. All the replies I've gotten are kind of sketchy, most are bots, they never address me by name, and the payment isn't through ebay, he sent me an email from ebay@transactions.com for a Western Union transaction, shipping from London, but the number on the page on ebay was from North Carolina. Also, just after my first email to him, all of his musical instruments for sale were removed, drum sets, guitars, tubas, everything. Some were not even titled as what they were. I only got the number from the page because i save the page as an .html, and it said to contact him before bidding so he could remove it. So, what should I do, I'm 90% positive it's a scam. Should I report him, and how?

YES IT IS A SCAM.. ALWAYS PAY BY PAYPAL ,MONEYBOOKERS OR LIBERTY RESERVE.

if they are asking for western union it is definatly a scam..

one month AGO I bought something for $200 online and seller asked for western union only.. GUESS WHAT? he took my money... rannn and i never recieved anything and never heard from him again and western union or the websites cannot do anything about it because they dont have any protection for buyers. so from then on... i know for sure.. if anyone asks for western union its a scam.. period..

yes report him.. someone here would either tell you how to do it or if you arnt sure.. go to ebay.. and click on live help. they will hook you up with a live technical support within a few minutes and theyd tell you wha you need to do

Look up Ebay's guidelines regarding these kinds of confrontations.

Oh God, the shipment is coming from London? I think you're screwed kid. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use paypal! and research the people before buying. Look I'm sorry but your money may be gone for good.

Lesson learned I hope.

The real store owner got his site hijacked.

This happened to my sister-in-law.

They crack the password for an established store/account and try to "sell" the same stuff but ask for money transfers.

Whoever does this stuff is/are jerks but the people who pay via wire transfer are as much to blame.

There are warnings all over ebay telling you not to do it.

If you see a deal that is too good to be true, question the hell out of it.

that does sound really weird. especially the part of him not signing his name. Don't go for it. better safe than sorry. It could be a scam because usually people have computers do this type of thing for them so when u mention it wouldn't quote a name it is probably programed. :D don't go for it once again.
