well i don't know whats the big deal about firefox.. everyone who answered before me preferred firefox.. anyway.. i installed it many times before.. and every time i get back to Internet Explorer... it is more familiar interface.. doesn't keep bugging you about installing a plug-in to run anything on the Internet.. it is just more integrated with Windows.... and about the glitches that IE causes.. up till now (10 years of using it) i never had any problem with my computer caused by IE.. yeah sure there must be one crash or freeze at least once a month, with all those add-ons and toolbars that we put on it.. that's very normal..
the bottom line i prefer Internet Explorer.. especially the new IE 7.. it is very neat.. and better then its ancestors

Although I'm more used to the way Internet Explorer is, I think Firefox is better. Firefox has better security and it will rarely freeze, unlike Internet Explorer.

I personally think Firefox is better than IE, not only that it's faster but it gives you more security feature. The Add-Ons are great too. I used No-Script Add-On to protect me from script running on a website, which would be a problem.
IE7 is very slow, even slower than IE6 for some reasons but the good thing about IE7 is that it has the zoom function, so that I can watch youtube in big screen.
I'm still looking for the Firefox add-on to zoom the page but still can't find it. If anyone knows.. could you please share it?

Yes!!! I just recently got it. My computer was full of bugs, and I had tried everything to fix it. I was running 4 different protection programs, and still had problems. I finally decided I would have to crash my computer and start over. Then I read something that convinced me that Internet Explorer was the problem and that I should used Firefox instead. I downloaded it, and completely quit using Explorer. My computer has worked great! And I didn't have to crash it.

The new IE 7.0 is a vast improvement over IE 6, but it still lags way behind Firefox 2.0. The vast number of plugs ins that you can download to customize Firefox seperate it from all other browsers.

I had to install it after I uploaded a copy of MS Front Page 2003 it killed my IE 6. I love firefox and now prefer it over IE.
I would have to say that there are more options and ease of use comes as you get to know firefox. I recommend it to just about everyone, as a back up. =o) Good Luck!

Not only is Firefox more secure but it's more extendable. So you can download an extension to read RSS feeds as well as a slew of other things that you can add on to Firefox.
Plus it's just a pleasure to use.

After I installed the latest IE update, I hated it and switched to firefox and love it. I understand that the firefox security is better also

Firefox is, in my oppinion, better to information superhighway Explorer in each way. that's speedier, extra secure, much less annoying to apply... however the only component that wins me over often are the upload-ons. There are hundreds! Adblock Plus - block classified ads - flash classified ads, banner classified ads, etc. and shop the bandwidth and the cookie hassles that those might have created. get carry of Statusbar - places your downloads on the backside of your show somewhat of an nerve-racking pop-up. FoxyTunes - administration your song participant devoid of leaving Firefox. Noscript - improve your protection by way of purely allowing JavaScript while that's necessary! CookieSafe - improve your privateness by way of purely allowing cookies while they are necessary! AJAX Yahoo! Mail - open and study a million to 10 to 20 e-mails all on one web site. All in all, the cyber web's plenty much less annoying and extra relaxing in Firefox.
