I've just found out that someone in brazil has been using my email address to sign up for things, which i now know is the reason i keep getting emails in spanish/portugese that i dont understand and why i keep gettin password reset emails from hotmail that i havn't requested. The only reaosn i found out is because i tried to sign up for a google account to be told it has already been registered so i reset the password and logged in, and it said my name was luana perillo (which it isnt) and my location was brazil, i kept looking and found a whole orkut profile for some girl in brazil with my emai address!!! what do i do? I want to contact google but i cant find a way to do it, what do i do?

If they have had access to your account then they will know the secret question so changing passwords will not help.

If you report it nothing will be done so I can only suggest that you create another account with a secure password and make sure that you secret question is just that, something no one will no the answer to.

Then just let everyone in your address book aware of the change.

Sorry I can't be of more help but it looks to me like you have been the victim of phishing.

she will attempt submitting a grievance together with his ISP service, yet while he hasn't brought about her any financial harm (or possibly a virulent disease from the unsolicited mail), i do no longer see a police grievance going everywhere. the only relatively valuable element she will do is replace her virus risk-free practices, tell the agencies to place her on their do-no longer call lists, and doubtless evaluate changing her digital mail to something he won't be able to locate easily.

I guess you could delete that account and make a new one.
