I use Firefox and lately it's been running extremely slow for no reason in the sense that it will begin to load a website and then keep loading it until I do ctrl+r to refresh it, then it loads no problem instantly. It's doing it multiple times and every site and it's starting to get on my nerves that I have to constantly refresh just to see my email inbox and facebook etc.
I've cleared my cache and cookies as I have Firefox set to do that on its own when I close the browser and it still continues to have an issue with loading websites.

Any suggestions?? And no. I'm not switching to Chrome or Opera or anything else if that's going to be your advice.

Firefox is the best browser it's fastest in the competition, you should upgrade or reinstall the browser.

Well if you really want to replace with another browser you should change to opera cause it loads the page faster the other browser. opera loads text first then other things like flash images.

Google CCleaner and download it. Select the things you want to be removed. Be careful because there is an option to delete desktop icons and start menu shortcuts. When you have it downloaded open it up and you should see a tab called Applications. Click that and select everything under Firefox (keep passwords if you want) and make sure sun java and the other things below are checked. Click analyze and then run when it's done analyzing. You can also go one tab down and run that to see errors that could make your pc slow. Fixing the selected issues won't harm your computer. Also don't run so many things at once when your surfing the Internet.

I have 2 bits of advice

1 Completely purge Firefox and all its add-ons then re-install the latest stable version. Test out without add-ons and then, if OK, add the add-ons one by one.

2 Purge Firefox and use the latest IE10. Its far superior.

are you using the latest version of firefox

have you tried uninstalling firefox and reinstalling a file may be corrupt/damaged it may also be one of your addons that's causing the problem try disabling the lot to see if that resolves the problem then re-enable them one by one till the problem reoccurs then you'll have the culprit
