#1. on your computer hooked up to the router click the start menu and type 'cmd' with the ' in the search box
#2. a black dos window will open. Type in 'ipconfig /all' without the ' and a space inbetween fig and /all
#3. this will tell you all of your settings.
#4. write down all of the numbers. start the internet browser on that computer and type the ip address in the addy bar. (more then likely your ip address will be 192.168.2.1)
#5. this will take you to your routers set up page. Look for the 'security' link and click it.
write down the passphrase/key/password, whatever you call it.
#6. make sure dhcp, UPnP, Broadcast SSID are turned ON
make sure Firewall, 'use as an access point' and Ping Blocking are turned off.
#7. only you and your isp know whether you have a dynamic or static setting. If you have a static setting, you need to enter in an assigned ip address for the psp.
#8. when entering information into the psp, do not use an automatic setting. This is where 90% of the people have problems. Fill out all the info manually. If you do an automatic setting, the ip address assigned to the psp will be in the range of the router. a typical routers range will be between 192.168.2.1 through 192.168.2.200, so give your psp an ip address of something higher then 200... 192.168.2.211
#9. dont change the security setting off wpa.. its more secure then wep, and the password/phrase/key is eaiser to remember.
