Gmail has a forwarding option. Can you make it forward only emails after its spam filter and not every email?

█ ► YOU CAN USE FILTER TO FORWARD ONLY THE MAIL WHICH MEAT YOUR CONDITION.

█ ► I AM USING THIS FEATURE AND GETTING MY REQUIRED RESULT.

G Mail have a really great option of forward Filter.

You have to put you own filter for forwarding. so you can simply make your own spam gaurd.

you can have forward function applied only when your certain condition meets.

█ ►How do I set up filters?

You can create up to 20 filters to manage the flow of incoming messages. Use filters so that certain messages bypass the inbox, are automatically labeled, or both. You can also automatically forward messages to another email address using filters. Filtered messages remain archived and searchable.

To set up a filter, click 'Create a filter' to the right of the 'Search the Web' button. Next, enter your filter criteria in the appropriate fields. When you click Create Filter, a list of messages that match your filter appears.

After you create a filter, the filter rules are applied automatically to new messages in your inbox. You can change your filters at any time by clicking 'Settings.'

█ ►To edit filters:

Click 'Settings' at the top of any Gmail page.

Click 'Filters' along the top of the orange 'Mail Settings' box.

Click 'edit' next to the filter you'd like to update.

Enter the new criteria for the filter in the appropriate fields, and click 'Next Step.'

Choose an action for the messages to take, and click 'Update Filter.'

Please note that, at this time, it isn't possible to apply filters to mail you've already received.

However here procedure to get rid of spam

To remove spam from your inbox, check the box next to the unwanted message, and click Report Spam. If you discover a message is spam once you have opened it, just click 'Report Spam' along the top of the message to send it to the Gmail Team.

The more spam you mark, the better our system will get at weeding out those annoying messages. If you or we should happen to goof and mark a good message as spam, click Not Spam at the top of the message.

█ ►If you need more help you can contact me any time.

★★ GMail Help ★★

◙ NOTE: THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! GMAIL IS STILL BEING BETA TESTED SO THE PART YOU FIRST SEE WHEN YOU FIRST LOGIN ISN"T WORKING CORRECTLY YET. NOT ALL OF THE FEATURES IN THAT SECTION HAVE BEEN ADDED YET. AT THE VERY TOP YOU WILL SEE A LINK THAT SAYS "STANDARD VIEW" CLICK ON IT TO GET TO THE WORKING PART OF GMAIL.

◙ Here is some information that will help you with GMail.

◙ One of the best features is how easy it is to keep up with a conversation with a single friend. All of your previous posts to that

person are right there for you to review in case you forgot what you were talking about. Another good feature is that everyone that emails you is automatically added into your contacts list (address book). Currently there is no way to opt out of that. Maybe later they will add that feature.

◙ GMail is currently in beta testing and isn't ready to be released to the general public. This is why you had to be invited to use it instead of just signing up for it like you would normally do with everything else. Because it is still being tested it will occasionally not do what you want it to do. When this happens keep trying until it gives up and report it to one of the following GMail Help groups below.

◙ Usually after a week or two you will be given the ability to invite others to Gmail. You will know when the time comes because a form will appear in the lower-left corner of your screen. Also when answering an email you will see a link that says "Invite So And So To Gmail". So and so is the name of the person you are emailing.

◙ PLUS ADDRESSING ◙

◙ Gmail also supports "plus-addressing" of emails. Messages can be sent to addresses in the form: gmail.user+extratext@gmail.com where extratext can be any string. Plus-addressing allows users to sign up for different services with different aliases and then easily filter all e-mails from those services. It does not appear, however, that the +string feature works when sending email from a gmail account to itself. Additionally (in some cases) the string appended to the e-mail address may not be longer than six characters. Below is an example.

fred@gmail.com and fred+amazon+shopping will send email to the same inbox.

◙ There are some other things you can do with the space in your Gmail account. One of them is called "GDrive". It's a program you download that lets you use your Gmail account as a network drive. Search Google with the keyword "gmail" and you'll see a lot of new stuff. More is being created everyday.

◙ Anyone wanting a GMail email address can get one from me by emailing cssiscool@gmail.com I have hundreds of invites left. When I run out I can get more.

◙ NOTE: If you have a cell phone or pda with internet access you do not need to be invited. You can sign yourself up.
