I am trying to make my own b-day invitations that look like a treasure map and also a treasure map for a favor. How would I do this using MS Word? I need an easy way to create the footprints and/or curved dotted line.

I would suggest using Paintshop and importing it to MS Word.

Alternatively, you could download GIMP for a better graphics program. There are also many cheap ways of doing it, such as Print Shop.

You need a photo editing program to do this.

Since this is a childs birthday - you could use ms paint, it'll take you a little longer but not impossible.

I'd suggest using a satellite image for your map just do a screen shot and then use the pencil tool to draw dotted lines.

just remember with paint you need to save frequently so that you can undo unwanted changes easier.

Use the Visio like Options

You can go to Insert , then Pictures, and then the Draw Options under that Toolbar , PICTURE, can be used to do all sorts of things; If you can do free Hand Drawing , then the Map is a breeze

I don't think you can, but I recomend paintshop or something similar, that should do it.
